Bryan Leach, LCSW

There is something you want to change.

You may have specific thoughts on what that is, or perhaps it’s a general sense of dissatisfaction that you don’t quite understand. It could be you’ve found ways to keep these feelings temporarily at bay so you can get through your day, or they may be coming to the forefront as historical coping mechanisms cease to serve you as well as they once did.

Regardless of where you are on your journey, you’ve reached a point where you feel that therapy may assist you in finding a better path forward. I am here to offer that support.

My Approach

My Approach

Individual Therapy

I approach therapy from a psychodynamic perspective, focusing on the impact of unresolved internal conflicts, relationships with others, and sense of self on the way we process and engage with the world around us.

Therapy provides a venue in which to gain insight into our ways of operating and better understand how they contribute to or detract from our sense of wellbeing, and the therapeutic relationship serves as a staging ground to explore new ways of relating to ourselves and others.

Couples Therapy

In couples work, the relationship is the client. Individuals' respective life experiences may be discussed in the context of how they impact dynamics within the relationship, but the focus is on the couple as a unit.

Couples therapy provides a neutral venue in which to explore how each person is feeling in the relationship, foster a better understanding of one another, and experiment with new ways of communicating. My role is that of an impartial third party who helps facilitate these conversations.

I believe empathy and respect are the foundation of successful therapeutic work, and I seek to create a safe, supportive environment in which to assist clients in working toward achieving their treatment goals. I have worked with individuals and couples across a range of ages, ethnicities, cultures, religions, gender identities, sexual orientations, and physical abilities. Every person is unique, and as such, my approach to treatment is tailored to the needs of each client.
